O-I Glass4Good Partner Encourages Glass Recycling in New Video

At O-I, our commitment to sustainability includes the vital work of fostering local recycling ecosystems like through GLASS4GOOD™, a community-based program that incentivizes glass recycling.

GLASS4GOOD enhances local recycling infrastructures and generates charitable donations in the communities where O-I employees live and work.

GLASS4GOOD can create an opportunity for glass recycling where it may not be available and provides O-I with an avenue to give to communities while encouraging glass recycling. GLASS4GOOD partner James City County in Virginia recently created an engaging video to help its citizens understand how the program works.

The video, posted to Facebook, uses humor to walk the viewer through the process, explaining exactly the steps they will take to recycle their used glass. The process is simple. James City County citizens can drop off all types and colors of used glass in the purple bins at the City’s Convenience Centers.

As a token of appreciation, O-I is making charitable donations to the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula to support “Pathways Out of Poverty,” a local workforce development program helping with educational and health needs.
